You very well may have just as many stray dogs wander by your house on a daily basis, but you don\u2019t have a Chankla. \u00a0Nothing gets past Chankla.<\/p>\n<p>Chankla is my personal dog and she needs a job. Mailman, kitty cat, other neighbor dogs on walks,\u00a0 they all have recognizable barks. But stray dogs wandering around out front \u2013 that is an unglued bark like no other. And it doesn\u2019t stop until I come look. In retrospect, that wasn\u2019t the smartest think to teach a dog \u2013 don\u2019t stop barking until I come look, but there it is.<\/p>\n<p>The Chankla alarm turned in Freckles. \u00a0Freckles turned out to be a classic stray: she wasn\u2019t spayed, was heartworm positive, underweight, flea infested, she was lacking some major house manors, so we put her into \u201cthe program\u201d.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_296\" style=\"width: 191px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gypsydogops.com\/?attachment_id=296\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-296\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-296\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-296 \" style=\"border: 5px solid white;\" alt=\"Freckles\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gypsydogops.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Freckles_good-225x300.jpg\" width=\"181\" height=\"206\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-296\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Freckles<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Freckles was and still is a total lover. She loves nothing more than to hang out with people. She is highly intelligent and she learned all the doggie 101 things fast. She house trained, crate trained, learned commands, and was ready to go except for the waiting period on her heartworm treatment.\u00a0 We had one challenge with Freckles\u2019 personality, \u00a0she was ALL blue healer in her heart. \u00a0This meant that she was hyper smart, super loving, but also had a tendency to be dog aggressive.\u00a0 She needed to go to a home that would agree for her to be in a single dog home and or for her to get her some professional socialization training. She was as sweet as could be, but that healer in her just didn\u2019t leave any room for other dogs around her people. When her post went out, we were very honest about her personality and included a link to descriptions of blue healer\u2019s personalities and traits.Magically, there is a matching family out there for every dog!\u00a0 Freckles forever family was looking for a blue healer and they called right away to meet her.
