If you\u2019re a dog, it is now officially the season to start sneaking up on the couch for a lazy climate controlled afternoon nap. Then, take the trolley back downtown and walk to the Klyde Warren dog park. Or maybe scoot over to the Katy Trail and relax at the <a title=\"Katy Trail Ice House\" href=\"http:\/\/katyicehouse.com\" target=\"_blank\">Ice House<\/a> or check out the nearby<a title=\"Mutts Cantina\" href=\"http:\/\/www.muttscantina.com\" target=\"_blank\"> Mutts Cantina<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Oak Cliff is home to some great local options for dog friendly trails. The longest trail is the 2.5 mile loop at Kiest Park. The Coombs Creek Trail is a 1.5-mile trail that starts near Hampton and runs northeast along the creek. Lake Cliff, Kidd Springs, Founders Park and Martin Weiss loop are all\u00a0a mile or less. The trailhead starts at Bexar Street. Spring is the time to see the buckeyes in bloom, but it is a beautiful canopied trail during the heat of the summer. Literally.
