Elmer is a sweet, sweet guy looking for his forever home.

Elmer can walk on a leash, is crate trained, potty trained, dog, cat,  and kid friendly. His is neutered, has been vaccinated, dewormed, and is microchipped. He is about two years old. has been treated for heartworms and has been given a clean bill of health. He has a great temperament and is generally a happy go lucky guy.  He has had a rough start to his young life,  but he has a big big heart and just wants someone to love him. He is some kind of adorable  rotty mix. He is not a large, tall dog like most rotty males, but he is no tea cup Yorkie either! He is a little under weight right now and will probably fill out to be around 50-60 lbs.

Where did Elmer come from? Elmer is a street dog from the Elmwood neighborhood. Through a collaboration with an Elmwood dog lover, GDO has been able to help get Elmer off the streets and on the way to a new life.

You can read more about Elmer’s capture and how he learned to walk on a leash, how he learned to ride in a car, and other exciting updates about Elmer here on our website. You can also see more pics on Instagram, and on our Facebook page.
